Carlos and Sara booked Los Amigos to provide live music during the reception and the cocktail hour at the beautiful Monestir de Sant Salví, an ancient Franciscan monastery in Girona about 1:20h from Barcelona.
This venue may not have the extended and lush gardens of other wedding venues in Girona, but feels intimate and is ideal for medium sized weddings. When we arrived the guests were still enjoying a dip in the swimming pool overlooking the beautiful green forest.
As the guests were attending from several countries, such Australia, Singapore, and Spain, Los Amigos Duo provided a mixed repertoire for the event.
We performed a few songs outside as the guests took their seats before the ceremony, and then for the bride walk in and the couple’s walk out.
Then we moved to the inside patio where we performed a mix of laid back Spanish guitar and international songs during the «aperitivo» or cocktail hour, until it was time to move into the main hall, a beautiful space with a high wooden ceiling.
The monastery has been recently renovated and is located at a close distance from Girona city and the beautiful Costa Brava.
